  When your daughter's a prostitute 16 Mar 2006
Pat Brown made one of the most distressing discoveries about her daughter, Pauline, that any mother has to make - for years she had been working as a prostitute. Eventually she was killed by one of the men who visited her.

Since then Pat’s done what she can to raise the issue of girls working on the streets. Most recently she’s shared her experiences with the writers of a new play ‘Unprotected’ which examines plans for a managed zone for prostitutes in Liverpool.

Jenni is joined by Pat Brown and Fiona Broadfoot, a former prostitute who now works for a women’s charity in London, to talk about how a mother copes when they discover their daughter is working the streets.

Unprotected is on at the Everyman Theatre, Liverpool. Tel: 0151 709 4776
