An article in the Washington Post this week proclaims that "for the first time in 14 years, legal abortion in the United States is in serious jeopardy."
The state of South Dakota has passed a law which bans all abortions unless the life of the mother is at risk, and supporters of the law hope that it could force a review of abortion law Nationwide.
So what is changing in American attitudes towards abortion? Why now? And are similar shifts in attitude detectable on this side of the Atlantic?
