We have three dogs in our house. Left to right in the photograph, they are Sandy, Sally and Karo. Sally is my parent's dog, a border collie x spaniel, from the Dogs Trust here in Salisbury . Sandy and Karo were both adopted by myself and my husband while we were living in California , Sandy already knew her name, so despite her being black we decided to keep it. Karo is a brand of golden syrup in the US so the dog got the label because of her colouring (Tate and Lyle just wasn't practical for a dog!).
