From Margaret and Neal Amery - "This is Danny, known locally, in Cooden Beach, East Sussex as 'The Swimming Dog'. He goes out beyond where we can see him and is located only by the halo of seagulls that always accompany him. Danny is a ten year old Golden Retriever and epileptic. He has swum since we moved here nine years ago. On a quiet day you can hear the seagulls yelling at him and Danny barking back at them. As owners we stand at the seashore (given a wide berth by other walkers in case insanity is catching) as we shout for him to come back."
