"My Nana, Phyllis Bregazzi, was a great inspiration to me. She believed in fairies, drew my favourite cartoons, danced round the sitting room and listened to Radio 4 every day. With her I entered the land of make-believe, where everything was possible. Now, in my studio I paint while listening to Radio 4. As I consider Cobalt teal and Ultramarine blue I'm comforted by my unthreatening, yet inspiring and thought-provoking companions. They keep me company in my own land of make-believe."
