Trevor Frankland
Trevor Frankland "The familiar sound fills the studio space ..."

What is it that makes Radio 4 so attractive when working in the studio? Without doubt it is less frenetic than many other available stations and it does not have programme presenters behaving as if every listener has an attention span of 20 seconds.

Radio 4 presents programmes which are though- provoking, entertaining, and informative without being repetitive in content - and the arts are not ignored!

The familiar sound fills the studio space and, in engaging conscious thought, perhaps more easily enables intuition to add significant colour, shape and form to the intellectual framework of an idea.
Trevor Frankland, like several previous Presidents of the RWS before him, is keenly interested in gardens, and three short films have been made for national television about his domestic landscapes.

His work deals with creating other realities: it is ambiguous and with a hint of mystery. He himself writes: "I like to arrange and rearrange things I have seen giving form and structure to compositions that embody my emotional response to the visual world."
