Born in 1944, David Paskett studied at Hornsey, Exeter and Liverpool Colleges of Art. His paintings are in many private collections, including HRH The Queen Mother, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Shell, Jardines, Chase Manhattan Bank, Honeywell, The Hong Kong Tourist Association and The World Bank.
Paskett is one of England's leading watercolourists and has been awarded many prizes including those from The Sunday Times, The Hunting/Observer Prize and The Royal Watercolour Society.
David Paskett lived in Hong Kong from 1986 to 1990 and China continues to be a major source of inspiration for his meticulously detailed and atmospheric paintings. Glimpses of everyday Chinese life, translated through David Paskett's personal and sympathetic vision, make compelling and dramatic images.
David has had over a dozen one-man shows in Europe and Asia. He was the winner of the Queens Award 1965. Paskett had a long career in art education but has devoted himself to his own painting on a full-time basis since 1986. He was elected an Associate of the Royal Watercolour Society in 2000 and a full Member in 2001.
