Balaclava 'ban' now in force in the city
Those wearing face coverings can now be asked to remove them or face fines.
Following a public consultation, a restriction on face coverings is now in place in Nottingham City Centre. Police and Community Protection Officers in the city can ask people to remove face coverings if they "reasonably believe" they are being used to conceal their identity to commit crime or anti-social behaviour.
In this episode of Need to Know, you hear from Councillor Neghat Khan, the Labour leader of Nottingham City Council, and Gary Godden, the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner, about the new rules.
