Stationary traffic is a sight motorists often fear, and for thousands of people in south Essex it's a familar experience at the moment.
The disruption has led to long queues and lengthy delays on many surrounding roads, including the A127 and A130 as drivers look for alternative routes, causing journeys to often take more than double their usual time.
