Josh Baker: 'A stalwart of our club'
Discover the lasting impact Josh Baker made on the people and club at Astwood Bank, with his family being at the heart of the cricket club for so many years.
The 20-year-old Worcestershire cricketer, who was called up by the England Under-19 side in 2023, took 70 wickets across 47 games for The Pears. He died suddenly in May 2024.
Tom Harris, known to Josh and players as 'Meaty', tells our reporter Phillip Stoneman about Josh's love affair with the club, as the player would return to Astwood Bank at every opportunity.
Tom reflects on how the club has paid tribute to their former player, with members forming his number '33' on the ground, and wearing Josh's favourite colourful Hawaiian shirts to his funeral, on Monday.
