Did you know your car could have been clocked?
Matt Allwright discovers how companies can wind back the miles on a car for as little as £30. He meets Katherine, who bought one with 60,000 miles on the clock. It soon had repairs mounting up, the team discover how many miles the car had actually done!
We put our findings to the Department for Transport and it said "Mileage fraud is illegal, wrong, and can result in prosecution of those found guilty of committing it. It said it expects any businesses offering these services, as well as dealerships and private sellers, to follow the law and not mislead prospective buyers.
