BBC Licence Fee – would you pay more?

The Prime Minister’s reportedly planning to block a £15 increase to the licence fee, and says the BBC needs to be realistic about what the public can afford. The Culture Secretary says she’s ‘concerned’ by suggestions the fee could go up to £173.30, the biggest increase in 40 years. The licence fee has been frozen for the past couple of years, and the BBC is in the middle of finding £500 million of savings. 5 Live listeners told Nicky Campbell how much they’d be willing to pay for the BBC.
