Papua New Guinea

Simon Reeve journeys through the lost world of Papua New Guinea’s tropical rainforest in search of the tenkile tree kangaroo, one of the rarest animals on Earth.

Simon Reeve ventures deep into one of the most remote and biologically rich regions on Earth, the rainforests of Papua New Guinea, in search of one of the rarest creatures on the planet - the tenkile tree kangaroo.

Covering just a tiny fraction of the planet’s land surface, tropical rainforests hold more than half of the world’s plant and animal species – and few places rival New Guinea for sheer diversity. The island is home to vast wilderness areas that remain little known to science, a lost world with countless species still undiscovered.
