Nick Carlisle talks about his brand new album “The Mad Decades”. Nick Carlisle is a composer/producer, originally from Dromore in Northern Ireland but based now in Brighton. He has been a member of various bands over the years but in 2022 he released his debut solo album and it was a soundtrack, commissioned by the QFT in Belfast, to the iconic 1922 film “Häxan”. His superb fourth album is called “The Mad Decades”, the title of which taken from a 1939 collection of short stories by the American science fiction writer Isaac Asimov. He talks to Stephen about songwriting, science fiction and AI.
