Jason Arday, Investigating Football, Broadcasters Moving to YouTube

As TV broadcasters move over to YouTube, what does it take to succeed on the platform? Former Top Gear presenter James May tells us what he’s learned from making the leap.

This programme was broadcast before the announcement of the death of Jason Arday.

Last month, The Times’ Martyn Ziegler revealed that FIFA president Gianni Infantino had been exploring plans to sell stakes in the World Cup to private investors. He joins New York Times Global Sports Correspondent Tariq Panja to discuss what it takes to break a major football story.

And as established broadcasters like Holly Willoughby move onto YouTube, does success on TV automatically translate online? Former Top Gear presenter James May joins us to reveal what he’s learned from building his own successful YouTube channel, Planet Gin.
