Episode 12 of 35

Chris Hull and Frances Tophill transform Pritesh and Mita's run-down plot into a garden inspired by India, with blooming marigolds and homegrown vegetables.

Chris Hull and Frances Tophill are in Leicester to help Pritesh and Mita transform their run-down plot, which is cluttered with discarded furniture, uneven patio areas and struggling plants, into a garden inspired by India, with blooming marigolds and homegrown vegetables.

Pritesh and Mita dream of a patio and pergola for meals and entertaining their extended family, a water feature and a cosy seating area. They are also hoping for raised beds to revive their vegetable patch and flowers, a cherished project for the space that used to be looked after by their late grandmother.

With Mita’s health declining and daily life demanding their attention, the garden has fallen into disrepair. Now, they hope to restore it as a beautiful, vibrant space that honours their grandmother’s memory and brings the family together.

Can the Garden Rescue team turn this neglected plot into a flourishing Indian-inspired garden on a £5,500 budget?
