New from Jordan Rakei and Nubya Garcia
London-based drummer, percussionist and bandleader Jas Kayser, sitting in for Soweto Kinch, spotlights some of the new jazz releases and classics that she has been enjoying.
Jas welcomes back her guest from Monday to Thursday this week, virtuosic drummer Louis Hayes, for a special 4/4 feature. Tonight, Louis chooses another record from his back catalogue, and this time it’s by a saxophonist that he worked extensively with and with whom he holds fond memories of performing.
There is also music from DREAMSCAPES, Melissa Aldana and Cécile McLorin Salvant, and Snorre Kirk, Joe Webb, Giacomo Smith.
