Asian Network Celebrates Panjabi MC, a 60-minute deep dive with Bobby Friction into the legacy of a true pioneer. From his groundbreaking 90s work on Grass Roots, through the 00s with defining moments from the albums Dhol Jageero Da and Indian Timing, this is a journey through an artist who helped shape the sound of British Asian music. The show also reflects on the impact of Legalised, including live sessions featuring Jaz Dhami, Manni Sandhu and Gurj Sidhu, marking 20 years of an iconic release first honoured in 2018. It’s a look at an artist whose influence still echoes across generations.
