Hope Health Action
Hope Health Action provides life-saving health and disability care in some of the world’s most vulnerable regions, including Haiti, South Sudan, and Uganda. We believe everyone deserves dignity, independence and opportunities, wherever they live.
Meet Modi
Modi is a South Sudanese refugee with complex disabilities. When HHA first met him, he was malnourished, covered in sores, and tied to a tree. Like many people with disabilities in under-resourced settings, he didn’t have the support he needed.
A transformation
HHA provided Modi with medical support; gave his mum, Flora, seeds and farming tools to provide for her family; and educated his community about disability. He is now happier, healthier, and loves playing football and helping Flora with the garden.
Holistic care to bring hope to life
HHA combines immediate support like medical care, wheelchairs, and artificial limbs, with education and empowerment (teaching communities like Modi’s, and helping caregivers like Flora to support their families). In this way, we create real change.
