The Royal Highland Show is one of the biggest events in Scotland with hundreds of thousands of visitors descending on Ingliston on the western edge of Edinburgh to experience a variety of attractions.

For people working in the agricultural sector, it’s an opportunity to showcase products as well as network with industry and political bodies.

But it’s not just about business — there’s also a lot of personal pride at stake for those exhibiting animals.

Back in 2011, award-winning filmmaker Mike Day followed the preparations of farmer Ginny Stacy-Marks in Perthshire ahead of taking her Highland cattle to Edinburgh for judging.
