How TRNSMT’s main stage stars shaped up at Glastonbury
4 July 2017
Whet your appetite for our extensive coverage of Scotland’s new festival with highlights from these five TRNSMT acts who rocked Glastonbury in June.
Radiohead – Karma Police
The NME called Radiohead’s set on the Pyramid Stage as a ‘heroic statement at the festival where they first broke through’.
BBC Music went further, suggesting that they might be the greatest Glastonbury band of all time.
Radiohead are headlining the main stage at TRNSMT on Friday 7 July.
Biffy Clyro – Wolves of Winter
Biffy Clyro opened their set on the Pyramid stage by staring out the crowd to the accompaniment of choral music.
Luckily for fans of the three-piece from Kilmarnock, this only lasted a few minutes before they brought the rock.
Biffy Clyro are headling the main stage at TRNSMT on Sunday 9 July.
London Grammar – Rooting For You
London Grammar’s performance on the John Peel Stage was ‘melodious, haunting and languorous’, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Their sound has been described as sitting somewhere between the crepuscular intimacy of the xx and the vocal acrobatics of Florence + the Machine.
London Grammar are playing the main stage at TRNSMT on Friday 7 July.
Rag'n'Bone Man – Skin
Demand to see Rory Graham, better known as Rag'n'Bone Man, was so big that it stretched beyond the allotted space and out onto the road.
The raw, bluesy soul singer has been tipped for big things in 2017.
Rag'n'Bone Man is playing the main stage at TRNSMT on Friday 7 July.
Cabbage – Terrorist Synthesizer
Cabbage took their live show to the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury.
Over the past couple of years they have developed a reputation as one of Britain’s most exciting new bands.
Cabbage are playing the main stage at TRNSMT on Saturday 8 July.
