Radio 5 Live welcomes back Eamonn Holmes, Gabby Logan, Donal MacIntyre and Fighting Talk to weekends


BBC Radio 5 Live welcomes four key shows back to its airwaves this weekend amongst a wealth of live sport.

 

Saturday

 

After a summer break Eamonn Holmes returns to his 9.00 to 11.00am slot, ably assisted by Sam Delaney, former referee Graham Poll and Lynsey Horn.

 

Eamonn gives his unique take on the weekend's action combining sport entertainment and key guests.

 

On Eamonn's show this week are Katie Price, aka Jordan; former Starsky And Hutch star David Soul, recently seen in BBC Two's Maestro; British basketball player Luol Deng; comedian Tim Minchin and former Manchester United player Mickey Thomas.

 

Fighting Talk, the banter-based battle of quick wits, returns to its traditional 11.00am to midday slot under the chairmanship of Colin Murray who is judge and jury over the proceedings.

Sunday

 

Gabby Logan returns to her show, Sunday mornings from 10.00am to midday, taking a sideways look at the sports news and entertainment stories of the week, including the news versus sport quiz.

 

Donal MacIntyre returns (7.00-8.00pm) with his investigative programme unearthing scams and scandals and bringing the guilty to book.

Rugby Union Premiership Rugby between Gloucester and Leicester from 4.00pm

 

US Open Tennis final commentary from 9.00pm
