BBC Sport will provide extensive coverage of this year's Royal Ascot – the world's most famous flat race meeting, where the pinnacles of sport and fashion coincide.

Exclusive and live action from the five-day festival will commence on Tuesday 19 June 2007 at 1.45pm on BBC One.

Lead presenter Clare Balding will be joined by four-time Ascot Gold Cup winner Willie Carson.

Commentary on the runners and riders will be delivered by Jim McGrath, with expert analysis from Ray Cochrane and Ian Bartlett.

Roving reporter Rishi Persad will provide reports from around the course and the BBC's betting expert Angus Loughran will give hints and tips on the market.

Fashion presenter Julia Bradbury and style writer James Sherwood will be on hand to assess each day's fashions – with looking good being as important as picking the winner for many Ascot race goers.

Throughout the week they will be joined by a series of special guests including Matt Dawson, and Jodie and Jemma Kidd who will advise on what's hot and what's not at this year's races.

Television coverage will begin at 1.45pm on BBC One from Tuesday 19 June to Friday 22 June and on BBC Two at 2.15pm on Saturday 23 June.

UK users of the BBC Sport website will also be able to watch all the big races of the festival at bbc.co.uk/racing.

In addition, there will be daily photo galleries of the racing action and fashions, live updates, plus contributions from BBC pundits.

BBC Radio Five Live will provide comprehensive coverage of Royal Ascot every day, starting on Tuesday 19 June with a special three-hour programme at 1pm.

All week John Hunt and Luke Harvey will be in the commentary box for the main races.

Racing correspondent Cornelius Lysaght will report from the parade ring, and former Classic-winning jockey Jason Weaver once again joins the team.
