Gold for BBC Tours at Visit London Awards

BBC Tours has been awarded the Tour London gold award at the prestigious Visit
London Awards 2006.
The Visit London Awards celebrate the capital's top tourism business and give recognition to the capital's best tourism ventures and customer service.
They were held on 23 November at the Roundhouse, Camden, London.
Andy Begg, Head of Audience Contact at the BBC, said: "We are thrilled that BBC Tours has been recognised at the Visit London awards.
"The tour gives audiences an insight into the daily workings of the BBC and is
indicative of the BBC's continued commitment to providing a wide range of services
to the public."
The tour is run at regular intervals throughout the day, from Monday to Saturday,
and provides visitors with an opportunity to catch a backstage look at BBC
Television Centre in West London, one of the most famous television centres in the
world.
The tour comprises a visit to BBC News, a look at the studios and
an opportunity to play in the interactive studio.
