Newsnight to broadcast exclusive UK Madonna interview

Newsnight is to broadcast the only UK interview with Madonna on Wednesday
(1 November 2006) at 10.30pm on BBC TWO.
Presenter Kirsty Wark will interview the star about the adoption of her and her
husband filmmaker Guy Ritchie's baby from Malawi.
The interview is a UK exclusive and will examine the controversy over the move
which has sparked a media frenzy over the past few weeks.
Madonna will also be
talking about her new children's book Too Good to be True, the sequel to the
worldwide best seller The English Roses, and her recent Confessions tour.
The interview will be aired first on Newsnight followed by an extended version
on BBC FOUR on Sunday 12 November at 9.00pm.
