Cath Hearne is to be the new head of region for BBC Yorkshire and Lincolnshire based in Hull.
Currently the Editor of BBC London News, she replaces Helen Thomas who has
become the new head of region for Yorkshire, based in Leeds.
Cath said: "I'm really looking forward to the move north.

"If you can't beat'em,
join'em!"
Previously Editorial Co-ordinator for the BBC's Nations and Regions, Cath was
responsible for co-ordinating the successful launches of the regional current

Programme.
She was also a director on Premier Passions, a five-part BBC ONE documentary
