BBC Swahili continues to bring the best football to fans across East and Central Africa with the launch of its football programme, BBC
Ulimwengu Wa Soka (BBC World Of Football).
In the first programme, at 16.30 EAT on Saturday 19 August, BBC Swahili presenters Juma
Nkamia and Alex Mureithi will bring 90 minutes of live commentary in Swahili of the Arsenal v Aston Villa match which takes place at the Emirates Stadium in London.
The game kicks off at 17.00 EAT.
Tido Mhando, Head of BBC Swahili, said: "The English Premier League is very popular in Africa as many of the UK teams have legions of fans across the continent.
"BBC Ulimwengu Wa Soka is a fantastic opportunity
for BBC Swahili to really connect with its audience and offer them
the full excitement of the tournament in their own language.

programme runs throughout the season for 40 weeks and I'm confident
our listeners will enjoy every one of them."

In Burundi, BBC Ulimwengu Wa Soka will be available in Bujumbura on 90.2 FM, and nationwide on 105.2 FM.
In Kenya, BBC Ulimwengu Wa Soka will be available on partner stations Radio Simba in Nairobi on 102.7 FM, on Sheki FM in Mombasa on 106.6 FM and on West FM in Bungoma on 94.9 FM.
In Rwanda, BBC Ulimwengu Wa Soka will be available in Kigali on 93.9 FM, In Butare on 106.1 FM, and in Kibuye on 93.3 FM.
In Tanzania, BBC Ulimwengu Wa Soka will be available in Zanzibar on 94.1 FM and in Pemba on 93.5 FM.
