Adrian Chiles is to present BBC ONE's new live daily magazine show. The series will run for four weeks this summer at 7.00pm.

Adrian is one of the BBC's most popular up and coming presenters. In recent weeks he has received much critical acclaim as the face of the BBC's World Cup Highlights programme.

He fronted BBC THREE hit show The Apprentice: You're Fired and is the host of the BBC's daily business and consumer programme Working Lunch.

The 39-year-old broadcaster also has a loyal radio fan base. He won the industry's top award - a Sony Gold Medal - for his BBC Radio Five Live show Chiles on Saturday and he presents the popular 606 post-match phone-in.

Chris Rybczynski, Editor of the new flagship show, says: "These shows have provided a platform for Adrian's talents and revealed his ability for talking to the audience in a language they understand and relate to.

"His ability to bridge news, sports and factual entertainment has made him the ideal choice for this BBC ONE flagship programme."

Following the BBC's successful News Hour between 6.00 and 7.00pm, the new primetime magazine show will provide a change of pace and tone at the point in the evening when people start to relax and unwind.

Chiles will be supported on-screen by some of the BBC's best up and coming talent.

Names revealed so far include popular natural history presenter Kate Humble and undercover journalist Anna Adams who shot to fame fronting the BBC's recent expose of estate agents.

The series will showcase the work of some of the BBC's brightest new talents, both on and off-screen.

Tessa Finch, Head of Cross Factual Production at the BBC, says: "The aim is to create a show that will both inform and entertain in the best traditions of the BBC."
