The Smith & Jones Sketchbook has been commissioned for BBC ONE from talkbackTHAMES.
The series will combine the best of classic Smith & Jones footage from the first series in 1984 to the last in 1998.
The Smith & Jones Sketchbook will also feature some of the funniest of Mel and Griff's classic Head To Head dialogues, with some brand new ones specially written for this series.
The series, currently in production, will see Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones reunited to provide a commentary on the background to the award winning Smith & Jones series and on the process of making it.
This new series is due to transmit on BBC ONE next year.
The Smith & Jones Sketchbook has been commissioned by Katie Taylor at the BBC.
The Smith & Jones Sketchbook will be produced by Jon Naismith and Exec Produced by Adam Tandy.
It is a talkbackTHAMES production for BBC ONE.
