Presenter John Craven is signing copies of the Countryfile calendar between 2.30 and 3.30pm on Wednesday 2 November at the BBC shop in the Mailbox, Birmingham.

The calendar is the result of Countryfile's annual photographic competition which raises money for the BBC Children In Need appeal.

John and his fellow judges - comedian Jo Brand and wildlife presenter and photographer Chris Packham - were flooded with 11,000 entries for this year's competition, the theme of which is water.

They sifted them down to the final 12 which make up the calendar.

The three judges also selected their favourite photo and the winning photographer receives £500 worth of holiday vouchers.

Countryfile viewers also voted for their favourite and the overall winner receives £1,000 worth of photographic equipment.

The calendar goes on sale in the BBC shop at the Mailbox on Sunday 30 October - the same day that the winners are announced on Countryfile (BBC ONE, 11.00am).

Last year's calendar raised £218,000 for Children In Need.

To order a copy: call the credit card hotline on 0870 0623 600; send cheques/PO to BBC Countryfile Calendar, PO Box 25, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, LE13 1ZG; online: bbc.co.uk/countryfile.
