There has been a significant jump in the number of listeners tuning into BBC Radio Northampton year-on-year, according to the latest figures released today by RAJAR.

The figures show that 105,000 people listen each week - that's an extra 11,000 listeners in the Northampton region, compared to last year.

In addition to this, the audience share has also increased from 11.3 per cent to 11.8%, year-on-year.

The breakfast sequence on Radio Northampton is doing really well with Bernie Keith continuing to be very popular with listeners to the station, keeping them thoroughly entertained each weekday morning from 8.00am.

Laura Moss, Managing Editor, Radio Northampton, says: "We've added another 11,000 listeners to the station over the last year and as a result we now have an audience of well over 100,000 people, which was a key target for us, so today's news is absolutely brilliant.

"This is the highest reach that the station has had for over three years, so it's a real achievement.

"I'm really pleased for the team here at BBC Radio Northampton who have put in so much hard work and a big thank you goes out to all our listeners."

BBC Radio Northampton broadcasts on 104.2 and 103.6 FM
