BBC Radio shows for Mark & Lard
Lesley
Douglas, the new Controller of BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music, has
confirmed that Mark Radcliffe will be joining Radio
2 later in the year and Marc Riley a.k.a Lard will
be joining 6 Music in April.
Lesley
says: "It's no secret that I've been talking to them for a
long time and I'm delighted to have secured their talents.
"It
makes perfect sense for them to move from Radio 1 to Radio 2 and
6 Music.
"I
have been discussing this with Radio 1 Controller, Andy Parfitt,
for some months now and I am pleased that BBC Radio can provide
a home for such exceptional presenters."
Further
details of the Radio 2 and 6 Music spring and summer schedules will
be revealed on Friday 5 March.
All
the BBC's digital services are now available on Freeview,
the new free-to-view digital terrestrial television service, as well
as on satellite and cable. Freeview
offers the BBC's eight television channels, interactive services
from BBCi, as well as 11 national BBC radio networks.
