HARDtalk with Dr Mowaffak al-Rubaie, Iraqi Governing Council

Dr Mowaffak Al-Rubaie, a Shiia and member of the Iraqi Governing Council, is interviewed on BBC News 24's HARDtalk tonight (Tuesday 20 January 2004).

He was one of the first people to visit Saddam Hussein in jail.

With only six months to go until the deadline expires for the transition of power in Iraq, can this goal be realistically achieved?

And what are his own ambitions in any new government?

Dr Mowaffak Al-Rubaie talks to Tim Sebastian on HARDtalk, BBC News 24, 11.30pm.
