Phil Tufnell to join They Think It's All Over

Phil Tufnell, ex-England and Middlesex cricketer and newly crowned King of the Jungle, is set to join the They Think It's All Over team when the new series begins on BBC ONE in the Autumn.

Fresh from his trials in the Australian rainforest, Phil will be revealing his plans when he appears as a guest on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross on Friday 23 May on BBC ONE.

Jim Pullin, series producer of They Think It's All Over at Talkback, said: "We're delighted to have Phil on board as a new team captain.

"His unique sense of humour, boyish charm and considerable sporting achievements will complement the show’s successful mix of sportsmen, comedians and other animals perfectly."

No decision has been made about the second team captain.
