CBBC and CBeebies celebrate their first digital anniversary - Alan Yentob writes


A year ago today, on 11 February 2002, the BBC launched two dedicated digital channels for children in the UK - CBBC and CBeebies.


Alan Yentob, the BBC's Director of Drama, Entertainment and Children's, here looks back over the channels' first year and to their future.

Kids get stuck in to CBBC (11.02.02)


All the BBC's digital services are now available on Freeview, the new free-to-view digital terrestrial television service, as well as on satellite and cable.

Freeview offers the BBC's eight television channels - including BBC THREE - as well as six BBC radio networks.
