Scotland unveil five top quality live Scottish rugby fixtures
BBC
Scotland today announced five fantastic rugby fixtures that will
be screened live this autumn.
All
three of Scotland's Scottish Mutual Autumn Test internationals,
against Romania, South Africa and Fiji at Murrayfield, will be broadcast
by BBC Scotland cameras.
Scotland's
home matches will also be covered live on Radio Scotland and streamed
on the internet on www.bbc.co.uk/sportscotland.
Scottish
rugby fans can also look forward to the prospect of watching two
of Scotland's professional sides in action in the Celtic League
and the Heineken Cup when Glasgow and Edinburgh take on opposition
from Ireland and France respectively.
Commenting
on today's announcement, Head of Programmes, BBC Scotland, Ken MacQuarrie
said: "I am delighted that BBC Scotland will be providing rugby
fans with five quality matches this autumn.
"As
Ian McGeechan's side prepare for next year's Six Nations and World
Cup the Scottish Mutual Autumn Tests against Romania, South Africa
and Fiji will provide a good indication of the progress Scotland
are making.
"It
is also great news for Glasgow and Edinburgh supporters that their
teams' exploits in the Celtic League and the Heineken Cup will be
live on BBC Scotland."
