HARDtalk: Richard Leakey

On BBC News 24's HARDtalk tonight (Wednesday, 30 October), Tim Sebastian interviews Richard Leakey, Kenyan politician and conservationist.

He has been described by one former colleague as a "wildman and a fighter" and has remained a perpetual thorn in the side of the current Kenyan President, Daniel Arap Moi.

The career of Dr Leakey has been as controversial as it has been diverse. He has been an internationally renowned fossil expert, a conservationist, opposition MP and anti-corruption campaigner.

Notes to Editors

HARDtalk is broadcast on BBC News 24, Monday to Friday at 10.30pm, and is repeated Tuesday to Saturday at 2.30am.
