Steve takes over BBC Radio Cambridgeshire's mid-morning programme


BBC Radio Cambridgeshire welcomes former BBC Radio Northampton presenter Steve Riches to the station's mid-morning show.


Steve, who will present the 10.00am to 1.00pm programme from Monday to Friday, replaces Gerald Main who recently became Editor of BBC Radio Suffolk.


Steve's broadcasting career spans more than 30 years.


He has worked for BBC Radio Five Live, BBC Radio 4 and was award-winning breakfast presenter at BBC Radio Northampton from 1997 to 2000.


He also presented the BBC's evening regional radio show from 1990 to 1997 which went out across the East of England.


Steve's new show starts on Monday 16 September and aims to sort out listeners' problems.


It will also feature leisure, lifestyle, health and consumer issues.


Steve, who enjoys mountain climbing amongst many other sporting hobbies promises "it won't be boring or irrelevant!"
