 Michael
Johnson joins the BBC Sport team for The XVII Commonwealth Games
Michael Johnson rejoins the BBC Sport TV team as an analyst within
Commonwealth Games Grandstand, following his insightful and widely
acclaimed contribution to BBC-TV's coverage of the World Championships
last year.
Johnson, dubbed "Superman", remains the only man to have
won both the 200 and 400 metres at the World Championships and the
Olympics, and is still the fastest man in the world being the only
man to have gone under 44 seconds over 400 metres.
Of rejoining the BBC TV Team Johnson said: "To be a part of
the Commonwealth Games with the world-renowned BBC Sport team is
incredible.
"I know the thrill of major competition only too well and I'll
be looking to bring my personal insight to bear on the performance
of the athletes competing at these Games, and the Europeans."
Dave Gordon Head of Major Events and Executive Editor said: "Michael
undoubtedly brings a unique perspective to the coverage and we're
looking forward to having someone of his stature working with us
again."
