BBC offers supporters chance to quiz Carlisle United boss

Carlisle United Football Club owner Michael Knighton is joining Paul Newton for a live forum this weekend on BBC Radio Cumbria.

Mr Knighton will be joined on the Saturday Sport show by two of his biggest critics - supporters' group CCUIST secretary Alan Steel and the man trying to buy Carlisle United, the Irish businessman John Courtenay.

It will be the first time all three have gone head to head.

Listeners are being invited to send questions to all three guests by calling 01228 592444 or sending an e-mail to paul.newton@bbc.co.uk. Everyone submitting a question must leave their name and a contact number.

Saturday Sport can be heard on BBC Radio Cumbria on 18 May from 2.05h to 6.00pm.

Managing Editor Nigel Dyson says: "This is a real opportunity for Carlisle United supporters to hear all the different sides to this story directly from the horse's mouth, as it were, and to have an opportunity to put their own questions to Mr Knighton, Mr Steel and Mr Courtenay."
