BBC Motion Gallery Concludes Short Program Deal with ABC TV

BBC Motion Gallery, the archive sales arm of BBC Worldwide, has concluded a deal with ABC TV for short program series World Wonders and Days that Shook the World: Into the 21st Century.

World Wonders (40 x 3') is a travel series that brings viewers an amazing selection of man-made wonders – cities, buildings, edifices, monuments, religious sites, artworks and even jewellery.

World Wonders is sourced from the BBC's 2005 hit series, Around the World in 80 Treasures.

Days that Shook the World: Into the 21st Century (20 x 3') follows the hugely successful BBC series Days That Shook the World.

It takes a look at key moments in the 21st Century so far, such as the emergence of the iPod, the horrific events of 9/11, the London bombings, the 2004 Tsunami and more.

"These titles showcase BBC Motion Gallery's ability to provide content to fit a wide variety of platforms," said Jack Boram, BBC Motion Gallery Territory Manager, Australasia.

This recent deal builds on the solid relationship developed between the ABC and the BBC Motion Gallery.

In 2006 the Motion Gallery acquired international distribution rights for ABC TV's archive.

ABC TV also  recently acquired Around the World (12 x 5'), a series of short vignettes on some of the coolest locations for adventurers and armchair travellers alike.
