The Office series 1 & 2 DVD box set




Two of the best-selling DVDs of all time - The Office Series 1 and Series 2 - can now be enjoyed for the first time in a special edition box set.


Available to buy from BBC Worldwide from 5 April 2004, all three discs will be included in this exclusive set, priced at £29.99.


Critics on both side of the Atlantic have universally acclaimed this multi-award winning comedy series.


Winning UK Bafta awards for Best Comedy Performance (Ricky Gervais) and Best Situation Comedy two years running in 2002 and 2003, more recently the series scooped two of America's top accolades at the Golden Globe Awards, winning Best Television Comedy Series and Best Television Comedy Actor (Ricky Gervais).


Both series of this brilliantly observed and convincingly acted fly-on-the-wall documentary are included along with a host of added extras including a 50 minute documentary by Ricky Gervais and fellow writer/director Stephen Merchant called How I made The Office, by Ricky Gervais, interviews with other cast members - Lucy Davis (Dawn), Mackenzie Crook (Gareth), Martin Freeman (Tim) - along with deleted scenes, outtakes and the original pilot episode.


To date, sales of Series 1 and 2 on video and DVD are in excess of 2.4 million and BBC Worldwide plan to release the two-part 2003 Christmas Special later this year.


The Office is a BBC production written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The producer is Ash Atalla and executive producer is Anil Gupta.
