BBC Worldwide programmes attract major Asia-Pacific deals




BBC Worldwide Australasia has concluded two deals with the Discovery Channel throughout Asia-Pacific for several blue-chip titles.

 

The first deal covers the Central-Southern Asian region, Pacific Rim and Japan and includes the hit series Congo, Human Senses (Asia Pacific), Pyramid (Asia), Walking With Beasts (Asia, Australia, NZ) and Timewatch-Gallipoli (Japan).

 

For the Taiwan region, the second deal comprises of the innovative and groundbreaking programmes Walking With Dinosaurs Specials, Wild Australasia, Body Snatchers, Pompeii and Colosseum.

 

"These deals demonstrate the strength of BBC Worldwide programming and their appeal to regional networks," said David Vine, Managing Director, BBC Worldwide Asia Pacific.

 

"They are also a testament to the strong global relationship we have nurtured with Discovery," he added.
