BBC Worldwide strikes agreement with Toys R Us for key in-store presence

BBC Worldwide has forged an agreement with Toys R Us, Britain's biggest toy and family leisure product megastores to install branded in-store Feature Walls in all 64 of its stores. The giant units, measuring 24' wide by 16' high, will display a range of merchandise for four of BBC Worldwide's high profile children's pre-school properties - Fimbles, Teletubbies, Tweenies and Andy Pandy - from May to October 2003.

The Feature Wall will be positioned in the entrance to all Toys R Us stores and includes a range of BBC Worldwide books, videos, multimedia, learning products and music. A range of other licensed merchandise will also be included such as toys, gifts, stationery, household textiles, homeware, confectionery and toiletries. All merchandise displayed in the unit will also be available in category areas within the store.

Helen McAleer, acting UK Marketing Director, Children's and Learning, BBC Worldwide comments: "BBC Worldwide seeks to work ever more closely with retail partners and this activity is a superb demonstration of this. The Feature Wall will also actively support our many licensees as well as BBC Worldwide's comprehensive range of published products."

Simon Cartey, Visual Merchandising Director comments: "The Feature Wall allows Toys R Us to create the ultimate in-store experience for BBC merchandise giving our customers the widest possible choice."
