Angie Stephenson takes US role as Talent Executive for BBC Worldwide and BBC

Head of BBC Talent Angie Stephenson has been appointed Media and Talent Consultant on behalf of BBC Worldwide and the BBC in the US.

Reporting to Mark Young, CEO of BBC Worldwide Americas, Angie will act as Director of Events, Marketing & Talent PR for BBC Worldwide, as well as a Media and Talent Consultant for the BBC's Drama, Entertainment and Children's Department in the UK-reporting to its Director, Alan Yentob.

Angie's role will focus on building relationships with talent on behalf of BBC Worldwide Americas and the BBC, creating a platform to showcase talent not only in the US, but also on a global level. Stephenson will also act as Alan Yentob's representative on the Board of the International Emmys.

Angie has been head of BBC Talent since its inception three years ago. Speaking of her new role she said: "After three wonderful years I am looking forward to applying my experience to these fantastic new challenges in the US. I'm especially excited to have the opportunity to develop events and create strong talent relations, ensuring the BBC and BBC Worldwide have the occasion to show the world the depth of the creative talent they have to offer."

Alan Yentob commented: "Angie will be missed in the UK, but I am delighted she's continuing to work on behalf of the BBC, and now BBC Worldwide. Angie's leadership of BBC Talent since its beginning has created a unique and successful venture - however I know the projects she will undertake in the US will be as creatively challenging and as rewarding as BBC Talent, and that she will make an invaluable contribution."
