BBC Magazines establishes new ad team

BBC Magazines is establishing a Key Customer Group to work with key advertising clients across its broad portfolio of titles. The new team will work alongside existing sales teams for individual titles and groups of titles.

The Key Customer Group will be headed by Advertisement Director Matt Teeman, currently Sales Director at beeb Ventures Ltd, the joint venture between BBC Worldwide and THLI that manages shopping portal beeb.com and ISP beeb.net.


Says Managing Director Peter Phippen: "The Key Customer Group will be an extremely valuable addition to our existing sales teams and allow advertisers one-stop access to the unrivalled range of brands we have at BBC Magazines, as well as the exciting cross-media opportunities presented by BBC Worldwide."


BBC Magazines' portfolio includes Radio Times, BBC Good Food, BBC Gardeners' World, women's glossy eve, BBC Good Homes, BBC Top Gear Magazine, BBC History, BBC Wildlife BBC Music, Top Of The Pops and children's titles such as Girl Talk, Disney's Big Time and Tweenies.

BBC Magazines - a division of BBC Worldwide Ltd, the main commercial arm of the BBC - is the UK's third largest consumer magazine publisher by readership and revenue, with a portfolio of over 30 regular titles for adults, teenagers and children. The latest round of official (ABC) circulation figures saw BBC Magazines' total circulation increase by more than two percent year on year in July to December 2001, out-performing both the number one and number two publishers (IPC up 0.3% year on year and Emap down 1.9% year on year).
