'Nigeria govment fit revenge against South Africa for xenophobic attacks against citizens'

She insist say di accuse wey South African citizens dey make say most of di Nigerians for di kontri na illegal immigrants, na lie.

"Dem dey harras our citizens, dey loot dia properties, dey carry out criminal actions against dem. Di police refuse to do anytin. Di South African govment come out strongly, firmly enuf to condemn dis incidents, so our citizens are dey suffer distress," Mrs Odumegwu-Ojukwu tok.

"Pipo wey dey do legitimate business, dem loot dia shops, dem burn dia shops. Children no fit go school bicos dey intimidated. So to tok say Nigerians wey dey do. legitimate business for South Africa na illegal migrants no be true at all."

Di Minister tok say Nigeria no deserve dis kain treatment from South Africa, kontri wey dem bin support wen dem dey suffer apartheid.

"Nigeria bin sacrifice plenty, commit funds, commit resources to help South Africa. For schools, we bin reserve seat for South Africans. My own generation, we bin carry placards and we protest in fron of South African assets, and sometimes dem bin arrest us for doing dis. So we no dey happy about how dem dey treat us (bicos) dem no dey ask all migrants to leave (dia kontri), dem dey only ask blacks to leave," she tok.

On di plans to bring bak Nigerians from South Africa, Mrs Odumegwu-Ojukwu tok say di numba of pipo wey don register to come bak dey increase evriday, however, dia plans dey on course and President Bola Tinubu don already give di final go-ahead.

She tok say: "E get some process wey di South African Homeland Security suppose carry out, as we screen our citizens wey wan return dem also follow for dat process and afta dat dem go give dem paper wey show say dem dey free to go."

Di Minister also tok say some oda govment agencies folo for di process, like di National Emergency Management Agency (Nema), to make sure say once dem return, dem go dey rehabilitated and reintegrated into di society.

Di first flight wey suppose carry Nigerians come back from South Africa bin dey scheduled to leave Johannesburg on Monday, but di foreign affairs ministry later postpone am to Wednesday as dem tok say dem gatz finalise some logistics issues.
