Freya's review
(read Mr W Rakespeare's review)
Wold
is a moving love story set in the unique environment of the Yorkshire
Wolds. Two young people attempt to carve a life for themselves,
despite their families, and the sometimes harsh environment.
The
tale is carefully honed into a series of snapshots of beautiful
simplicity, sprinkled with searing humour and mysticism.
This
book is quite the opposite of novels thick as a loaf of bread -
in its short, poetic span, so much is said, so much unsaid. But
it cannot fail to change the outlook of any reader that dares to
open their soul, as the author has done so bravely.
Reading
this book has been a unique experience ! At times I laughed out
loud. Writing of beautiful simplicity and integrity.
I would
recommend this book to anyone who isn't too narrow-minded ! To anyone
who loves nature, and love itself.

Mr W Rakespeare's review
Wold by Paul Judges is a story set in the unique environment of the Yorkshire
Wolds and coast.
It follows the passionate relationship of two young adults, living closely
with a sometimes harsh environment.
This is a funny and original book with all kinds of peculiar insight
and simple beauty.
I would heartily recommend this book to anyone who's overdosed on TV
and supermarket shopping! Here is the antidote.
