Back to Mulita 2003/4:
Maud returned from the Congo in
March 2004 and gave many talks
to various
groups around
the country about her experiences there.
John Gregg
caught up with her to find out how her last
6 months
in the Congo had gone for her. Maud
told him some of the stories connected with
just a few of the many photographs she had
taken. She'd returned to the Congo in October
2003
and was
delighted with the reception she received from
the local people.
It was her hope to make it
to her old missionary station at Mulita and
when the fighting between the various groups
ceased in December, she was able to make
her way there in January 2004.
Her home and
hospital had been cleared of furniture,
medicines, and equipment but thanks to the
generosity
of the people back home in Northern Ireland
she was able to replace some of the items
that
had been taken.
