I am Jamsie Spiers (Speers) the young scoundrel in your article, now 60 years of age. I have returned to kilkeel after living in England for 30 years, didn't realise I was famous. I would love to know who W Donaldson is. I can be contacted at the email address below

My father was a prisoner there for a couple of years or so. He was a Lieutenant in the British machine gun corps. I've no idea where the camp was. He was very sparing with his comments about WW1. He did say he was allowed to go on parole into the village for a shave and a hair cut.

Does anybody knows where exactly in Schweidnitz the camp was located?
Schweidnitz is now located in south-western Poland, approximately 30 km from Czech and 160 km from German borders. The name is SWIDNICA. I was born there in 1963 and lived in Swidnica till 1988. I live in Toronto, Canada now but every single year I pay a visit to my beloved hometown. I had no idea there was a POW camp during WW I ! I'd like to find it.
